Draft master plan Roman Limes
The Roman Limes (frontier) runs along the basin of the Rhine in the Netherlands between Lobith and Katwijk. Numerous archaeological finds from Roman times testify to that. The master plan is designed to protect and visualize these and possible future finds.
Drawing up a plan is necessary because the area is densely populated.
The province of Gelderland, the Arnhem Nijmegen region and the Programme Office the LIMES have joined forces to visualize the Gelderland part of the Roman Limes. The master plan, was prepared by Eric Luiten with Catherine Visser, Ed Joosting Bunk, Peter Paul Witsen and Marc Kocken.
