Heritage Exploration Drenthe

The municipalities and the province of Drenthe have launched a joint effort with which they put the  Drenthe heritage policy on the map. Also seeing heritage as a unifying factor for example, regional development, leisure economy and spatial design and urban quality. The province calls this process: Heritage Opportunities for Drenthe.

SteenhuisMeurs worked in coorperation with Beukers Scholma and  M A R C on the first mapping of heritage policies and organisations throughout the province. Topics include:  municipalities and province policies in the field of heritage and culture, ambitions, stakeholders in the Drenthe heritage area, typical Drenthe heritage and what to do with it. This exploration was a baseline, giving an overview of the current situation and provides insight into potential opportunities.
